Point POHH80X Gala Ed combines an induction hob and a cooker hood into one appliance. This way you free up space in your kitchen without compromising clean room air. With an effective suction power of 570 m³/h, the cooker hood removes unpleasant cooking fumes from the room air. You can control the cooker hood manually or activate an automatic setting. The induction hob can also adapt to different sizes of cookware thanks to a bridge function.

Induction technology for efficient and safe heating

The hob based on advanced induction technology is a safe way to prepare food. The induction hob produces heat directly to the bottom of cookware instead of indirectly heating up the glass surface. This way the energy used for heating is used as efficiently as possible.

Bridge function to help cooking zones adapt to large cookware

The induction hob has room for four pieces of cookware in total. If you however want to utilize larger cookware, such as a grill plate, this is possible thanks to the convenient bridge function. With it you can connect two smaller cooking zones into one large zone.

Cooking zones with a boost function

Each of the hob’s cooking zones has nine power levels so you can choose just the appropriate one according to the food you’re preparing. In addition to these power levels, each cooking zone also has an especially powerful boost function to choose from. This is especially helpful when you want to, for example, bring water to a boil quickly or heat oil. When the function’s maximum time of five minutes has elapsed, the cooking zone switches to power level nine.

Comfortable touh and slide controls

Adjusting power levels is easy with the hob’s slide controls. Since you don’t need to apply pressure to touch controls, they’re more comfortable than traditional buttons and switches.

Pause function for unexpected interruptions

Are you waiting for an important call? Does someone in another room need help? Cooking can be interrupted unexpectedly. That’s why the Point induction hob has a handy pause function that allows you to safely pause your cooking. The handy memory function also retains your settings for six seconds if you accidentally turn the hob off while cooking.

Timer for switching off cooking zones

The induction hob has convenient timer functions that can be used in two different ways. You can use the timer to time when a cooking zone switches off or alternatively use it as an alarm. When using the timer as an alarm, cooking zones won’t switch off when the timer runs out. The maximum time for the timer is 9 hours and 59 minutes.

Child lock and automatic safety switch-off

For families with children, the safety of the home is emphasized, and this includes the kitchen. For this reason, the induction hob has a convenient child lock function. This way the family’s smallest can’t accidentally play with the hob settings. It’s also convenient to lock the controls if you need to quickly wipe something off the hob. If you in turn have a lot on your mind, you don’t need to worry if you forget to switch off the hob. That’s because the hob will automatically switch off after a time determined by the chosen power level.

Residual heat indicator brings additional peace of mind

In addition to the child lock and safety switch-off feature, the induction hob also has a residual heat indicator that further increases user safety. When you see which cooking zones are still hot after they’re switched off, you won’t even accidentally burn your fingers or hands. This however isn’t the only user benefit as you can also utilize residual heat to warm food, for example. The hob also has a separate keep warm function you can utilize.

Machine washable grease filter makes upkeep easier

The induction hob’s reminder function reminds you after 30 hours of use that the cooker hood’s grease filters need cleaning. This way you won’t forget. And if you want to make your life easier, you can wash the filters in the dishwasher.
