Point POHH7083I4B combines an induction hob and a cooker hood into one appliance. This way you free up space in your kitchen without compromising clean room air. With an effective suction power of 530 m³/h, the cooker hood removes unpleasant cooking fumes from the room air. The induction hob can also adapt to different sizes of cookware thanks to combinable Flex cooking zones.
The plasma filter effectively filters impurities from the air using an approach derived from nature. The plasma stage removes microscopic organic carbon compounds from the air. Molecules, such as germs and cooking odors, are broken down at a molecular level. These small particles are then absorbed by the plasma filter more easily than by a traditional filter. This means you’re safely protected against germs, viruses, and spores. Only clean air – oxygen, humidity, and CO2 – comes through the filter and back into the room.
The Point Flow induction hob is a safe way to prepare food. The induction hob produces heat directly to the bottom of cookware instead of indirectly heating up the glass surface. This way the energy used for heating is used as efficiently as possible. Unlike conventional heating, the Point Flow induction hob also minimizes temperature fluctuations. It keeps heat even at all power levels instead of relying on an on-off method to regulate heat. This prevents overflowing and ensures your food is cooked evenly – not burned in one area but undercooked in another.
The induction hob has room for four pieces of cookware in total. If you however want to utilize larger cookware, such as a grill plate, this is possible thanks to the convenient bridge function. On both sides of the hob there are Flex cooking zones where two smaller zones can be combined into one large zone.
Each of the hob’s cooking zones has nine power levels so you can choose just the appropriate one according to the food you’re preparing. In addition to these power levels, each cooking zone also has an especially powerful boost function to choose from. When the function’s maximum time of five minutes has elapsed, the cooking zone switches to power level nine. Adjusting power levels is easy with the hob’s slide controls.
The induction hob has a convenient timer that can be used in two different ways. You can use it to time when a cooking zone switches off or alternatively use it as an alarm. When using the timer as an alarm, cooking zones won’t switch off when the timer runs out. The maximum time for the timer is 99 minutes.
Are you expecting an important phone call? Does someone in the other room need help? Unexpected interruptions may occur when you’re cooking. With that in mind, Point's induction hob has a convenient pause function with which you can safely pause cooking. When you return, you can simply pick up where you left off without worries.
For families with children, the safety of the home is emphasized, and this includes the kitchen. For this reason, the induction hob has a convenient child lock function. This way the family’s smallest can’t accidentally play with the hob settings. If you also have a lot on your mind, you don’t need to worry if you forget to switch off the hob. That’s because the hob will automatically switch off after a time determined by the chosen power level.
In addition to the child lock and safety switch-off feature, the induction hob also has a residual heat indicator that further increases user safety. When you see which cooking zones are still hot after they’re switched off, you won’t even accidentally burn your fingers or hands. This however isn’t the only user benefit as you can also utilize residual heat to warm food, for example.
